Question / Issue
AirCard 595 stuck in INIT status.

Answer / Solution

If the AirCard 595 in the LAN-Cell 2 stays in the INIT state, or switches between DOWN and INIT, check the following items:

  • Ensure that the AirCard 595 has been fully activated and updated by placing the 595 in a laptop and running software provided with the 595 to activate the card on your carrier's network.  Confirm that you can make an Internet connection via the AirCard from your laptop.

  • Check the AT Command Initial String value under the ISP Parameters section of the Cellular tab in the LAN-Cell 2 Web GUI.  The Initial String should be blank for the AirCard 595.

  • Confirm that you have adequate signal strength at your location.  The signal strength should be greater than -100 dBm for reliable connections.

  • Check that you are running the latest LAN-Cell 2 firmware version.  The latest firmware is available at:
