Question / Issue
LAN-Cell intermittently reboots.

Answer / Solution

Intermittent reboots (power cycles) can be caused by several factors:

  • Shorts in the LAN-Cell power supply cord
  • Over or under voltage conditions in the DC power supply
  • Improper grounding of the power supply
  • Failure to provide a proper antenna ground plane for external antennas.  Check with your antenna manufacturer to determine if a dedicate antenna ground plane is required.  The standard magnetic mount antennas sold with the LAN-Cell do not require separate ground planes.
  • Defective LAN-Cell circuit board.  If you have checked the items above and believe that the LAN-Cell is defective, contact Technical Support for additional troubleshooting.
