Secure Mobile Internet Access
Integrate the Proxicast LAN-Cell 2 3G cellular router into police, fire, EMS and other emergency response vehicles to provide first responders with secure Internet access wherever they are dispatched. Mobile Internet access give officials on the scene access to departmental applications and resources (criminal records, vehicle registrations, maps, hazmat reference materials, etc.) along with giving them access to Internet resources. Field personnel can access secure applications via VPN connections while simultaneously accessing public resources.

One Connection -- Multiple Applications
The LAN-Cell 2 3G router lets you share a single cellular data account among several different pieces of equipment or vertical applications. Devices can be "hard-wired" to the LAN-Cell's 4-port 10/100 Ethernet switch. The integrated 802.11 a/b/g WiFi access point creates a rolling "hot-spot" to service personnel with WiFi enabled handhelds or laptops within several hundred feet of the vehicle. All connections can be secured to allow only authorized devices and users to access the LAN-Cell.

You are not "locked-in" to a single cellular provider or radio technology. The LAN-Cell 2's PC-Card cellular modem is the same device used in laptops. By simply replacing the PC-Card, you can easily change cellular carriers or upgrade to faster network technologies as they become available.

Vehicle Friendly Design
The LAN-Cell is a true 3G cellular mobile router and can be powered by standard 12VDC vehicle power (an optional cigarette lighter adapter is available). The LAN-Cell also includes several unique design features which make it ideal for vehicle installations. The Card-Guard and Card-Lock systems ensure that the 3G PC-Card modem stays in place and is protected from accidental disconnection or damage. Proxicast offers a variety of vehicle-mount antennas that connect to the Card-Guard's external antenna connector. The LAN-Cell 2's included mounting brackets also provide secure mounting for a variety of configurations.
