Whether you need to place a digital sign in a location
where it's hard or expensive to run communications lines,
or you're rolling out a complete digital signage network,
Proxicast's LAN-Cell 2 makes it simple to
send updated content to your equipment. Anywhere you can
get cellular, Ethernet, telephone or satellite service,
you can install a dynamic digital sign and securely update
and monitor it via the LAN-Cell 3G cellular router.
One Device - Multiple Functions
Offering much more than any modem, the LAN-Cell
2 3G router combines a user-upgradable 3G cellular
modem, 4-port 10/100 Ethernet switch, state-of-the-art
IP routing, ICSA-certified Firewall and VPN features into
a single easy to deploy device.
This allows the LAN-Cell to do more than just deliver content updates to your signs. For example, add an inexpesive webcam to monitor sign quality, observe user response to content or document that advertisers content is running as planned. If your signs are interactive, you can gather user responses and process real-time transactions. You can even update multiple signs via a single LAN-Cell.
For Windows, Apple and Linux based media players, you can use remote desktop software packages such as PC-Anywhere or VNC to take full control of the device over the Internet. Or use the LAN-Cell's built-in VPN client & server to securely extend your corporate network to remote signs without the need for additional hardware, software or device configuration changes.
Fast, Easy Deployment
You are not tied to a specific vendor's proprietary communications network or protocol. No need to wait for or pay for communications lines to be installed -- get your signs connected to the Internet within minutes. Deploy using any CDMA or GSM cellular network worldwide by simply inserting a compatible 3G PC-Card modem.
The LAN-Cell 2's external antenna jacks enable you to position the antennas for maximum reception regardless of your location.
Proxicast even offers several
"low-profile" vandal resistant antennas ideal for publicly accessbile installations.
