In the summer of 2007, Proxicast introduced the all new LAN-Cell 2, the next generation of LAN-Cell devices based on PC-Card technology and featuring support for "3G broadband-speed" cellular network technologies including EVDO Rev0, EVDO RevA, EDGE, UTMS,  WCDMA, HSDPA & HSUPA.  The LAN-Cell 2 also includes greatly expanded security, networking, and cellular data management features into a smaller, faster and even more rugged solution.

Proxicast's LAN-Cell Mobile Gateways are used all around the world to provide remote data communications for a wide-variety of applications including banking (ATM) networks, SCADA & remote device monitoring, security systems, retail point-of-sale terminals, emergency response/command vehicles, and Internet access for temporary work sites.
