After a lightning strike or if signal is disconnected, unscrew the gas discharge tube assembly from the bottom of the arrester and replace the tube. The gas discharge tube can be installed in either orientation.
Be sure to fully tighten the gas discharge tube cap when reassembling. Shake the arrester after replacing the gas discharge tube - if it rattles, the tube is not correctly installed.
